Backend Development & API Integrations
Give your product a backend that keeps business rules, records and integrations consistent. We develop APIs and data workflows and plan the infrastructure needed to operate them.
01 / The business problem
When this service helps
For teams with an interface that needs dependable services, or an existing application with difficult integration and deployment work. We review the current architecture before proposing a change so the work fits the systems you already have.
- Different clients applying inconsistent permissions or business rules
- External APIs that fail without useful recovery behavior
- Deployments that depend on undocumented manual steps
02 / Scope and delivery
What we can deliver
- Documented REST APIs and request validation
- Database models, migrations and access rules
- Third-party integrations, webhooks and background jobs
- Docker-based deployment or cloud/VPS configuration as scoped
- Logging, backup and operational handover requirements
Technical approach
NestJS and TypeScript structure the application layer; PostgreSQL and Prisma support relational records and schema changes. We keep credentials server-side, validate webhooks and design repeatable operations to handle retries. Docker, AWS or a VPS can support deployment depending on the product’s needs. Infrastructure choices account for maintenance and cost rather than assuming a large distributed system.
03 / Relevant experience
Related product work
NanoCare documents NestJS services, PostgreSQL and Socket.IO communication behind a mobile marketplace. Kerkomjeshter documents structured provider and request records through NestJS APIs. These are specific founder portfolio references, not uptime or security certification claims.
04 / The process
How the work takes shape
Review the boundaries
Identify clients, data ownership, access requirements and external dependencies.
Design the contracts
Agree API shapes, schema changes, validation and error behavior.
Implement and verify
Exercise permissions, integration failures and important data transitions.
Prepare operations
Document deployment, configuration, backups and the response to failures.
05 / Before we start
Common project questions
Can you build an API for an existing mobile or web app?
Yes. We start with the client’s data and permission needs and review existing contracts. Changes are planned to preserve working clients where possible, with migration steps when behavior must change.
Which cloud provider should we use?
The answer depends on traffic, existing infrastructure, operating skills and budget. A managed service, AWS deployment or VPS may each fit different needs. We establish those constraints before recommending infrastructure.
06 / Next steps
Tell us about the problem
Share the workflow or product you want to improve, the systems already involved, and any timing or budget constraints. We can start by understanding the scope and deciding on a practical next step. Based in Kosovo, working with businesses locally and internationally.
